DVM (Full or Part Time)

Illinois small animal practice searching for a second Associate Veterinarian – full time or part time!

All About Animals Pet Clinic features gold-standard medicine, a unique location and facility, a young outgoing team, and multiple services that make us our clients’ “one stop shop” for all of their pet’s needs. We are located in Mahomet, Illinois, which is a suburb of Champaign-Urbana. Mahomet is a small town that features restaurants, a microbrewery, and the beautiful Lake of the Woods Park. Our clientele consists of middle/upper income families who are busy but madly in love with their pets. Our team of professionals includes Certified Veterinary Technicians, a Groomer, a friendly reception team, attentive caretakers, and a dedicated Practice Manager. Applicants must be licensed in Illinois or able to obtain Illinois licensure. Three years of veterinary practice experience is preferred, but we are open to meeting new graduates. Experience with Avimark software and the suite of IDEXX laboratory equipment preferred, but training will be provided.

Companion Caretaker (Part Time)

All About Animals Pet Clinic is seeking an enthusiastic professional to join their team as a part-time Companion Caretaker. We are a veterinary clinic featuring luxury boarding and daycare located in Mahomet, IL that specializes in providing high quality, compassionate and convenient care for our patients and clients. We recognize the importance of the relationships between humans and animals and we see our clients and their pets as extended family. We feature doggy Playcare, luxury boarding suites, webcam access, and an amazing team to care for pets. Our luxury boarding suites are the largest in the area and we were voted the 2019 #1 Animal Boarding Facility by The News Gazette!

The successful candidate has experience managing dogs in groups, is focused on quality care, possesses a willingness to perform tasks in all necessary capacities – from answering phones to cleaning, is willing to work holidays, and stays enthusiastically on task without supervision. Candidates must be able to work independently as well as with a team, be comfortable with animals, and have a strong work ethic. Experience is preferred.

The Companion Caretaker’s primary role will be to take care of boarding and day care animals as well as assisting with kennel and hospital maintenance and cleaning. Duties will include supervising play groups, walking dogs, cleaning kennels, doing laundry, feeding guests, providing one-on-one play time, washing dishes, and other general housekeeping/cleaning. Candidates must be able to lift 50lbs without assistance, walk and/or stand for long periods of time, bend, kneel, and be willing to work in all weather situations. A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Hours will vary based on the availability of other members of the Companion Caretaker Team. The ideal candidate is available for early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Veterinary Receptionist (Part Time)

Are you looking to exceed client’s expectations with excellent customer service? Excited about working with animals and a fun team? Then look no more, we are looking for a part time Client Service Representative at our veterinary practice.

The purpose of this position is to perform record keeping duties, perform clerical duties related to patient care and treatment, and provide miscellaneous support to the Veterinary Practice Manager and health care team. These service functions include, but are not limited to, reception (face-to-face, email, and telephone), maintenance of veterinary medical records, accounts maintenance, cash processing, data entry, word processing, and mail service. This position requires a practical knowledge of hospital organization and services, the basic rules and regulations governing animal patient treatment, data transcribing, word processing, and a practical knowledge of the standard procedures, veterinary records, and terminology used in the hospital.

In this role you will:

  • Work closely with our clients and their pets
  • Use a multi-line phone system
  • Perform data entry
  • Be involved in cash processing
  • Schedule and prepare for appointments

To be successful in this role you will need to:

  • Enjoy working individually and as a team
  • Greet clients in a professional, friendly, hospitable manner
  • Excel at communication (oral, written, digital, listening)
  • Have a commitment to excellent client service
  • Possess strong organizational skills and a great work ethic

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years experience working in a veterinary practice
  • Experience with MS Word
  • AVImark software experience is preferred
  • Weekends, evenings, and holidays will be required
